Steve Richards, Chief Executive Officer

Steve has spent 30 years’ in the leisure and hospitality sector and has worked for a number of well-known public and PE backed companies.

Prior to joining Parkdean Resorts, Steve was CEO of KKR owned Casual Dining Group Ltd where he acquired a number of well-known brands and developed the white label concessions division which operates in the UK’s major airports, IHG hotels and Centre Parcs.

Steve has also served as CEO of Novus Leisure Ltd which he founded in 2006 and successfully sold in 2012 to PE investors, as well as MD of the Blackstone backed Spirit Group Ltd which was acquired by Punch plc in 2006 for £2.8bn. Prior to Spirit he held similar role for Scottish & Newcastle plc as MD of their pub division.

Steve spent the first 10 years of his career at Allied Domecq plc where he undertook various senior marketing and operational roles.

Steve is also a Non-Executive Director for a pan European budget accommodation business and a UK based premium bar operator. He is also Deputy Chairman of UKH – the hospitality sector’s lead trade body which lobbies Government on the strategic issues affecting its 700 member companies who between them employ some three million people.

Mos Shamel, Chief Operating Officer

Mos Shamel recently joined Parkdean Resorts as Chief Operating Officer.

An experienced operator who has a real depth of experience in leisure and hospitality, Mos has responsibility for all park operations, people and retail matters.

Mos was most recently Managing Director for Casual Dining Group where he looked after Las Iguanas, having previously sold the brand for £85m to the group in 2016 and agreeing to stay on and help it grow. He joined Las Iguanas as it opened its fourth restaurant and left as it opened its 65th. Mos developed the brand into one of the most widely-admired bar-restaurant businesses in the UK, which last year was voted 27th in the Sunday Times annual ‘best businesses to work for’ index.

Prior to this, Mos had a broad and varied career, working in food and beverage management in the US, for Disney and then for the Cunard Corporation, which operates cruise ships such as the QE2. He has also run a substantial UK bar and nightclub business.

Martin Robinson, Non Executive Chairman

Martin has spent much of his career in the leisure sector. As well as serving as CEO and Chairman of Center Parcs Europe and Chairman of Center Parcs UK between 1997 and 2015, he was also Director of Disneyland Paris between 2009 and 2018 and has chaired the Boards of Casual Dining Group, Wagamama and Holmes Place Health Clubs.

Martin also currently chairs Burger King UK and Inspiring Learning (an outdoor education business) and is a director of MAF Ventures in Dubai.

Ian Kellett, Chief Financial Officer

Ian Kellett was appointed Chief Finance Officer in June 2018. Ian was previously Chief Executive at Pets at Home, which he joined as Chief Finance Officer in 2006 and was instrumental in growing the business from 185 to 450 stores whilst also helping build Vets4Pets as the largest chain of first opinion vets practices in the UK. Ian also played a key role in the sale of Pets at Home to KKR in 2010 and it’s subsequent IPO in 2014.


Ian has held a number of senior finance positions including Finance Director at Staples, Deputy Finance Director at JD Wetherspoon and Finance Director at Phone4U.

Catherine Lynn, Chief Customer Officer

Catherine is a former Group Strategy and Group Commercial Director at easyJet and has played a significant leadership role in Europe’s low-cost aviation sector for 20 years, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.

Catherine spent 12 years in retail with J Sainsbury plc, before starting her aviation career as part of the start-up team for British Airways budget carrier Go Fly, as founding Head of Customer Services.

She also has more than 10 years’ experience as a Non-Executive Director, including with Airport Coordination Limited (ACL) and Liberty Living, a leading student accommodation provider, and is currently an independent non-executive Director of Thames Water Utilities Limited.

Judith Archibold, General Counsel and Company Secretary

Judith joined Parkdean as its in-house solicitor in September 2002 following Parkdean’s listing on AIM and became Company Secretary in November 2002. As Company Secretary Judith was responsible for the legal and regulatory work and governance associated with the company being listed on AIM. 2006 Judith became responsible for overseeing all the legal, regulatory, compliance and licensing functions across the Group.


On the merger of Parkdean and Park Resorts in November 2015 Judith was appointed General Counsel and Company Secretary of the merged business. She is a qualified solicitor with over 25 years’ experience dealing with all aspects of corporate, banking, private equity and business law. Prior to joining Parkdean, Judith worked as a senior associate solicitor at Bond Dickinson in Newcastle and previously spent several years as a senior legal advisor at private equity company, 3i plc. and in private practice in the city and a large national firm.
